Key
dates
Meteorological activities of DEGREANE Horizon began in 1984.
The oldest customer, in this field, is Meteo-France for the supply
of automatic observing stations of the first French, high density,
meteorological weather network covering the all territory.
It was the birth of MIRIA(1) and today, there are more than 800
sites installed around the world.
In 1991, the first system dedicated to aeronautic, SIOMA(2), was
installed on the airport of AGADIR (MOROCCO).
From 1993 the MIRIA generation has been smoothly renewed and numbers
of sensors were developed for applications concerning mainly
precipitation, wind, visibility and clouds measurement.
Today, when the project initiators are still present in the company,
acting as guarantors for the last 15 years durability, the new
ideas-men of "DEGREANE Horizon" are resolutely turn toward
innovation and high technology, assuring a permanent improvement to
