DEGREWIND
DEGREWIND profilers make the most of Radar's state-of-the-art
technology for the measurement of wind profile: speed and direction.
Using the backscattering properties of electromagnetic waves from
the atmosphere, DEGREWIND product line provides vertical profiles at
altitudes ranging from 75 m up to 20 km, depending on the
transmission power and frequency.
The antenna arrays generate from three to five beams (1 vertical, 2
to 4 oblique). The beam position combined with the Doppler frequency
gives the wind direction and speed.
Strong points:
Continuous real time watch of winds
No noise pollution
No electromagnetic perturbation thanks to low secondary lobes
Operates 24 hours a day
Operates under any type of weather
Wind data update rates are user specified
Measures the vertical wind speed .
Provides wind variability
Remotely operated through a LAN or the telephone network
Functions:
Wind measurement in altitude used by digital forecast models of
professional meteorology at synoptic scale
Wind shears detection during aircraft approach on airports
Boundary layer monitoring
Forecast of pollutants scattering in the atmosphere
Measurement of particles movements within clouds: PDN 35G
PDN 35G is a 35GHz Doppler radar, dedicated to physic phenomena
study within clouds.
It allows studying dynamics of particles in suspension within
clouds.
It is specially used by research institutes for the prevision growth
and life cycle of clouds in the troposphere.
Strong points:
Provides the drop speed and the Doppler spectrum of hydrometeors
within clouds.
Provides vertical profile of reflectivity within a cloud
Allows to determine cloud boundaries

The Wind Sensor
DEOLIA 96, is an integrated system including anemometer,
wind-vane, cross arm, solar panel and a wind transmitter box
which acquires,
processes and displays data.
DEOLIA 96 is used in climatology, airport meteorology and in
all related
fields.Functions: |
